I’ve never had any trouble sleeping, in fact my husband always says that by the time he’s switched off the light and climbed back into bed I’m already fast asleep.
When I was younger my mind was always on hyper mode drifting from one thought to another, I could easily survive on just a few hours sleep and still be bright eyed and full of energy the next morning.
All that being said I know not everyone has the luxury of being able to fall asleep easily and if something can help then why not give it a try.
Feather & Down “Sleep Matters” range definitely leaves you with a relaxed calm sense of being. Although I don’t have trouble sleeping I’ve found these products really helpful after a long stressful day at work to help you unwind and relax in the evening.
All Purpose Sleep Balm
A lovely little travel and handbag sized pot of balm blended with vitamin E and essentials oils, apply to your pulse points and after a few minutes breath in the calming aromas to unwind and relax a few hours or less before bed. This will help your body relax and unwind helping you to switch off from the stress of the day. It’s also good for travelling if you’re feeling a little anxious as the beautiful aromas can encourage you to relax and unwind.
Melting Shower Gel
This is absolutely divine, either in the shower or squeezed into the bath for some light bubbles and aroma. This beautiful shower cream lathers easily into lovely soft bubbles that cleanse and rinse off your skin without leaving any residue. On use, you are immediately hit with the dreamy aromas of Lavender and Chamomile essential oils that melt any tension and stress leaving you feeling calm and relaxed. This is one of the best shower creams I have used in a long time I’m really impressed by how calming and soothing this product is. An absolute must have even if you aren’t feeling stressed. I would love to try this formula in other scents too as the quality of the product is perfect.
Pillow Spray
An Infusion of Lavender and Chamomile essential oils to help calm an anxious mind. Lavender and Chamomile are known to help aid relaxation so its perfect that Feather & Down have mixed both essential oils into a pillow spray to aid relaxation and calm a busy mind. I find spraying your pillow 30 min to an hour before bed will also help gently fill the room with the relaxing aromas before bed. I find this is the best way to use the pillow spray as its very potent a bit like when you first spray on perfume it takes a while to settle.
My thoughts on this brand Im really impressed with the quality of the products especially for the price the All Purpose Sleep Balm retails at £7, Melting Shower Gel retails at £6 (great value) and finally the Pillow Spray retails at £7. All are available at Boots and online at Feather & Down Although these products don’t claim to guarantee you a perfect sleep, what it can do is help your body relax and unwind and over time will probably improve your sleep pattern. My favourite product is without a shadow of a doubt the Shower Cream but I also love the Sleep Balm, this is a great little pot of calmness that you can carry around with you in your handbag or in your pocket.
If you are struggling to sleep and nothing helps, it’s worth making an appointment with your GP to discuss it. Remove any unnecessary electronic devices from your bedroom such as televisions and computers, do not use a computer for 30 mins before going to bed and try these great Feather & Down products to help induce a deep natural refreshing sleep.
