Marks And Spencer Advent Callender 2017

I remember as a child sharing my advent calendar with my sister, each day, before school, we would take it in turns to open the windows. Back then we didn’t have chocolate calendars,  just a simple calendar with a Christmas theme and lots of glitter.

Then came the chocolate calendars that our mum said we weren’t allowed, denying us  the luxury of having chocolate for breakfast ( thankful for her strict food upbringing now though)

And then came the beauty advent calendars, just about every store and beauty brand are doing these from drugstore beauty and high street stores to luxury brands. Thankfully good old Marks & Spencer have come out with an incredible calendar filled with beauty treats worth over £250.

 

 

Filorga Smoothing Mask  This mask left my skin feeling soft and dewy. This is a great sample size and a little goes a long way. It’s an opaque white cream that feels luxurious and soft on the skin.

Nuxe Precious Scented Shower Oil with Golden Shimmer  I love Nuxe products so to get this fabulous sample size in this calendar is wonderful. This lovely tinted gel leaves skin feeling silky smooth, once you’ve tried this you will want to try the rest of the Nuxe range.

Gatineau Melatogenine Aux Probiotics  Thick pearly white cream, a little goes a long way, best to use sparingly. The product absorbed well into the skin it doesn’t leave the skin feeling tacky but definitely gives the feeling of instant nourishment.

Radial Dragons Blood Sculpting Gel  Radial is one of my favourite brands and this good sized sample is a great introduction to their products. The gel will help reduce the appearance of fine lines by plumping the skin.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick  * Honestly M&S you definitely picked the perfect shade from the Stila liquid lipstick collection. I’ve had so many comments from friends on this shade. Not everyone likes liquid lipsticks but this one isn’t as drying as most liquid products it goes on really buttery and does dry down after a few minutes as you would expect.

Korrs Wild Rose Advanced Sleeping Mask.  This is my first time trying a Korrs product. This has a nice velvety texture and melts quickly into the skin. Contains wild rose oil vitamin C & Hyaluronic acid for a softer smoother more radiant skin.

Black Magic Mascara  I have mixed feelings with this mascara. The finished application is fantastic my lashes definitely looked longer and fuller. The wand is slightly curved and this is great if you are careful when applying your mascara however I did find that I poked my eye with the curved tip a couple of times so I’d say apply slowly,  not a good idea to use on the go.

Nails Ink Gel One Coat  The shade in my calendar was Milton Star and I loved that one coat was indeed enough to cover the nails with a glassy glossy shine.

Formula Reveal Cream * I absolutely love this product, my skin felt I’d just had a mini spa treatment. At first I thought the product contained little soft beads until I realised it was the dead skin on my face that was very gently rubbing away. By far one of my fav products in this great calendar collection. I’ll be purchasing the full sized product.

Ultra Sun Lip Protector  SPF 30 great for sunny days under your lipstick, also perfect for winter sun protection .

Alpha Liquid Gold Rose  This limited addition product reduces surface roughness, pigmentation and sun damage. This limited rose is an enhanced version of the original.

Shay Blue Blood Orange Perfume * British made with real flowers, fruits and spices. This is a very generous refreshing scent with deep notes of musk and wood perfect for either male of female.

Emma Hardy Cleansing Balm  Removes all traces of makeup including eye makeup. Once rubbed into the skin remove with a hot cloth for the best results.

Diego Della Palma Mascara *  Very intense deep black mascara that applies easily giving length and volume to your lashes. Absolutely love this mascara.

Percy & Read Hairspray  Love the packaging from this brand, the product gives a strong hold while adding gloss to the hair without it looking sticky or stiff.

Ren Instant Firming Beauty Shot  Apply before your usual moisturiser. I also tried this under my makeup as a primer although not sold for this purpose I actually found it helped my foundation sit well.

Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion  Loved this body cream it’s fresh light and absorbs into the skin quickly leaving a lovely light scent.

Leighton Deny Nail Polish in Star  Beautiful sparkly polish with a glossy finish. Looks great on it’s own or on top of any nail polish shade. I found that applying it on top of the nails ink polish in this calendar worked fabulously, giving a lovely sparkle to the gold gel.

Pixi Lip Gloss  Exactly what it says. It’s a nice gloss not too tacky. I liked to wear this on top of the Stila liquid lipstick that comes with this calendar.

Balanceme Rose Otto Face Oil  100% natural ingredients containing pure rose Otto Palma rose & other essential oils. A very light weight oil helping improve delicate skin.

Autograph Hydrating Boost Primer * Probably the best primer I’ve ever used, this amazing primer from Marks and Spencer leaves a lovely silky texture allowing foundation to apply and sit nicely on the skin.

Formula Absolute * This is a new range from Marks and Spencer. Apply this at night then wash off in the morning. This formula says it will give the the appearance of an 8 hour sleep. So I guess you may get this with any face cream applied before bed but this is actually a good cream and a little goes a long way.

Pure Correcting Primer  Really nice cream that quickly absorbs giving a slight glow to the skin. I liked to use this on top of my foundation on the tops of my cheekbones and brow, to give a nice subtle glow

And finally on Christmas Day you will find a pretty makeup bag to fit all your goodies from the calendar into. Ok so not everything is going to fit in here but it’s a lovely pouch that is exclusive to this calendar.
