Essence Cosmetics Haul

Makeup just became so much more fun and full of vibrance, whether you are 10 or 90, there is definitely a makeup product to suit your needs. So my beauties stop and take a moment to look at this lovely fun and girlie beauty brand Essence .

At first I was a bit unsure about this brand but something was intriguing me to take a closer look. Essence is an extremely affordable ethical brand & not tested on animals. Although it’s a less expensive brand, the quality is so much better than you would expect with fun packaging and a wide variety and style of products available.

Let’s start with some highlighter.

Lips Go Wow Palette  It’s so hard to find a good lip palette these days and its something I absolutely love over actual lipsticks. Thankfully Essence have brought out three different shade palettes in their Lip Art Collection for only an amazing £3.50 and I’m hoping the trend for lip palettes is going to be on the up. The lovely little pocket sized compact pictured offers 4 shades from a medium nude to a deep dark plum.

I’d say these apply more like a tinted balm rather than a lipstick from the consistency of the product, it definitely feels more like a nourishing balm, perfect to give your lips a lovely nourishing tint.

Essence Prismatic Rainbow Highlighter  A lovely subtle glimmer of colourful highlight for only £3.50 for the swatches shown here. I’ve gone heavy handed just so you can see the shades properly but for a highlighter you want it to be just a glow without being too overpowering and that’s the beauty of this highlighter, it’s light enough to be buildable for accurate layers until you get your desired result which is nice. My favourite shade is the golden hue below the bright pink. The quality is fabulous for the price, it’s not chalky and doesn’t give much fall out.

Essence Nail Polish and Rock in a bottle  loose nail glitter (only £2!). A nail glitter that you can take off in a flash. This lovely little bottle of sparkly soft glitter is applied over any wet nail polish. All you do is paint your nail, shake the bottle and tap the glitter down to hold, then wait a few minutes for it to dry.

I would suggest applying a little Vaseline around your nail bed so it’s easy to remove once applied as like any glitter it loves to stick to your skin. Thankfully it wipes off easily with any nail polish remover or wipe without the horrible gritty feeling you get from glitter polishes.

Metal Shock Eyeshadow  retails at only £3.50. This rich pigmented formula is just beautiful from how easy it is to apply to how quickly it dries. The product feels like a soft creamy mousse, it has a great applicator that makes it easy to create the look of a full shadow or you can use it to create a winged liner. Straight from the wand you get an opaque metallic look (without any fallout) and it’s also very easy to blend out before it dries for a sheer look on your eyelids. This shadow is packed with pigment and shimmer. and it’s every bit as good as the Stilla Magnificent Glitter Liquid shadow that retails for £23. I highly recommend this product, for price it’s like you have hit the jackpot and, the bargain of the year! Don’t be shy, if you love metallic shadows or metallic liners then this is your go to product for 2018. Check it out as soon as you can!
