My Friends Top 3 Beauty Products

Confessions of a beauty junkie

I wanted to share my blog space with some talented beauty bloggers who I have come to know and trust with their honest and fulfilling reviews on social media. I reached out to three very talented writers and asked if they would like to be part of my first guest blog space.

My first guest is a very honest and loveable girl who I started following at the beginning of my instagram journey into beauty. She very quickly became a good friend and someone I can trust to say it as it is, there is no nonsense when it comes to her reviews straight to the point with all the good and the bad…. theres definitely no nonsense when it comes to her confidence and talent. Im delighted to introduce to you my first guest Zarrine aka Zarrine_beautyjunkie

Zarrines top 3 Skincare Products of ALL TIME!

*

When the lovely Polly asked me to be one of her blog guests, I knew immediately what I was going to write about and picking my three favourite things ever was surprisingly easy considering I’m a skincare blogger who’s trying something new every few months! At the ripe old age of 37, I know my face and what it likes so these are things that have been tried and tested over the years and I keep coming back to them. We are now in the age of a new beauty release every week so this is quite an accolade.

Estée Lauder

First up is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Multi-Recovery Complex. This is their number 1 serum and I would go as far as to argue it is one of the best selling in the world. For me, it is unrivalled in its hydrating, plumping, refining and anti-aging qualities. It is a fine line and wrinkle obliterator which has been used for three generations of women in my family, including me! Although genetics plays a major part in how skin ages, my grandmother had great skin well into her mid-80s and my mum has passed the age of 70 with an equally smooth complexion. This is not a product you can use for a couple of weeks and forget about, I’ve been using it consistently since my 20s and I wholeheartedly believe in its effectiveness. Estee Lauder recently released the next generation of this formula with a slightly more majestic (recyclable) glass bottle with squared off edges, but I can’t detect a difference In its revitalising power. This serum sits happily in my evening routine and a dropperful renews my skin overnight.

Suitable for all skin types.
IDEAL FOR• MULTIPLE SIGNS OF AGEING • VISIBLE AGE PREVENTION • LOSS OF FIRMNESS, TONE • LINES AND WRINKLES • DRYNESS, DEHYDRATION • DULLNESS, LOSS OF RADIANCE • UNEVEN SKINTONE
FORMULA FACTS• OIL-FREE• FREE OF SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCE• NEW GLASS BOTTLE…AND IT’S RECYCLABLE• DERMATOLOGIST-TESTED• OPHTHALMOLOGIST-TESTED• NON-ACNEGENIC; WON’T CLOG PORES

Sisley

Next up is the Sisley Eye Contour Mask – the eye mask to end all eye masks. Fine lines and darkness around the eyes is a concern for me and more recently a slight hollowness that comes with the natural ageing process. Personally, I find that this is the ultimate eye rejuvenation product, on a temporary skincare level (anything more lasting would be going down the tear trough filler route, which I am not averse to!). It refreshes and hydrates the eye contour area, lids included, and it makes me look like I’ve had a full night’s sleep, which is not usually the case. The very first time I used this was via the Sisley sample subscription which sadly doesn’t exist anymore, and I was shocked at the visible results the morning after. I use this in place of a eye cream a couple of times a week and I don’t tissue off as instructed because I want it to stay in place and do its thing for as long as possible! It has a unique ‘gel patch’ consistency which is extremely plumping and the arnica, gingko biloba, vitamin E and provitamin B5 really work to moisturise, protecting and brighten dry or dehydrated peepers.

Algenist

And last but not least, Algenist Genuis Liquid Collagen first burst onto my skincare radar a couple of years ago with their beautiful dual-phase formula of microalgae oil and actives suspended in plant collagen water, enhancing the complexions of faces from London to the USA! Their hero ingredient “Alguronic Acid” features heavily in all of their products and their innovative biotechnology has really helped to deliver efficacious, sustainable and high quality skincare formulas. Back in 2019, I knew I was going to love this beautiful and unique product even before I put it on my face. It glides effortlessly over the skin and instantly imparts such a glowing radiance, I can’t describe how much I love it! This is definitely luxury splurge at £90 for 30ml but now that I’ve tried it, I can’t be without it in my morning routine.

It’s been a pleasure having Zarrine as my first guest blogger.

Over the coming month I will have a new guest blogger who will also introduce to you some of their favourite products.
